We are happy to announce that we have become a proud sponsor of the Business Fore Calgary Kids Foundation Annual Golf Tournament. Our President and Managing Partner, Rob Hilditch, has become a Founder with BFCK and we are excited to get involved and help the many charities that receive funding from the BFCK Tournament.
A little about the BFCK and what they do.
A little over 14 years ago several like-minded business people got together to create this Foundation, with the purpose of organizing a great, fun golf tournament, and at the same time raising some much needed funds for the children in our community. What started as a small idea has resulted in our raising over $2.5 Million in the past 14 years, and having the ability to support many wonderful children’s charities in the Calgary area. This result has only been possible due to the wonderful support of all of our sponsors and donors. We have a very unique model where we, the Founders, cover 100% of the expenses related to our operation, including the golf tournament, with the result that 100% of our sponsor’s funds go to the fulfill our selected charities’ needs.
We have a rigorous charity selection process, and for 2020 we will be supporting seven charities:
- Between Friends;
- Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter;
- Distress Centre Calgary;
- Inn from the Cold;
- KidSport Calgary;
- Nutrition Students Teachers Exercising with Parents (NSTEP); and
- YMCA Let’s Raise Campaign.
All of these projects are fantastic and we are pleased to fund these great programs and their projects to benefit the children of our community.
We wanted to let you know what we are doing in the community to help kids in need by supporting this foundation. We would be pleased to discuss this with you further, answer any of your questions, and we invite you to view their website at http://www.bfck.ca/
